Following on the heels of Poke Mon’s July 2016 opening , Sea Sweets Poke is the second build-your-own poke bowl restaurant to open on SE Hawthorne in the past year, and it is now serving poke, bone broth for sipping, and house-made drinks, like a cucumber-Thai-basil lemonade and lychee-oolong iced tea. Sea Sweets operates daily, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., at 1505 SE 31st Ave. Portland native David Lo and chef Ian Hung own Sea Sweets Poke, and in an email to Eater, Lo says the focus is on letting customers make their own ideal poke bowls – A la Chipotle – with some chef-driven poke options, too, such as a line-caught ahi bowl with “shiso chimichurri.”
